Objects: USA 2024

64 White Street
The landmark American design triennial celebrates today’s most innovative designers and artists—Objects: USA 2024. Visit the Official Objects: USA 2024 Website.
Through nearly 100 objects by 55 visionary makers, the major survey exhibition challenges traditionally understood boundaries between fine art, craft, and design and captures the diversity of individuals propelling handmade processes in compelling new directions. Many of the featured works defy easy categorization, teetering between sculpture and functional furniture and between art objects and beautifully-crafted everyday tools.
To engage audiences with this unique spectrum of works, the 2024 exhibition curators, Kellie Riggs and Angelik Vizcarrondo-Laboy, developed a fresh conceptual framework that emphasizes artistic motivations and establishes a new set of artistic archetypes—the Seven Archetypes of Objecthood: Truthsayers, Betatesters, Doomsdayers, Insiders, Mediators, Codebreakers, Keepers.
Opening September 6, 2024, Objects: USA 2024 marks the launch of R & Company’s triennial as an ongoing commitment to uplifting contemporary makers, building the contemporary marketplace, and supporting the dynamic landscape of American object-making.
