WORKS ON VIEW

For this year’s presentation at FOG Design+Art in San Francisco, R & Company presents a selection of works celebrating women designers from California, including Wendy Maruyama, Arline Fisch, and Pamela Weir-Quiton. This will be an extension of the gallery’s acclaimed exhibition ‘Born Too Tall: California Women Designers, Postwar to Postmodern‘ which is currently on view at the gallery in New York until January 27, 2023. This exhibition, and the presentation at FOG, together explore the work of women designers from California who pushed the boundaries of object making and deeply influenced the development of design. Objects on view will include Wendy Maruyama’s iconic “Mickey Mackintosh” chair, jewelry by Arline Fisch, and wooden sculptures by Pamela Weir-Quiton.

The gallery will also present new works by Philadelphia-based artist and activist Roberto Lugo, and California-based designers Rogan Gregory and Hun Chung Lee. Hun Chung Lee is recognized for his skilled utilization of 15th century Korean celadon glazing techniques to create beautifully crafted sculpture and furniture. Rogan Gregory will present his most recent, elegant experimentations with materiality and organic forms.
